I’m officially psyched for the rest of the day. The Movie Blog linked to the official Spider-Man movie site which revealed that Spidey will be wearing a black costume in Spider-man 3! Ah, the memories of my youth reading Spider-Man comics with the black costume. What was creepier than those white eyes and spider logo peering out of the darkness? Or better yet, crawling out of his own grave? It’s a hell of a lot better than that Iron Spider costume that Marvel revealed earlier this month. Eeek. Yes, this poster will be in one of our lightboxes sometime this...
While checking the logs at work I found this curious error “Invalid_Viewstate_Client_Disconnected”. After some research (i.e. Google) I found this knowledge base article Intermittent Invalid Viewstate Error in ASP.NET Web pages. Unfortunately, the KB didn’t help much since we were doing all of the recommended steps. I did find this post which defined the problem as the user canceling the postback while the viewstate was being sent to the server. This issue tends to occur when the viewstate becomes very large. I found another post that pointed the blame at a proxy server truncating the viewstate if it was...
Brrreeeport! Brrreeeport! Brrreeeport! There, am I now in??
I’m not a Will Ferrell fan at all but his new film Talladega Nights might just convert me. The trailer has just hit the web and I still haven’t stopped laughing. “Help me Tom Cruise!” Via The Movie Blog.
I found this great two part introduction to MSMQ and .Net. The first part, Programming MSMQ in .NET and the second part, Programming MSMQ in .NET: Transactional Messaging are definitely worth a read.
There is a good article available comparing DotNetNuke vs. Sharepoint. If you’re on the Sharepoint fence DNN might be a good alternative for you. Via Patrick Santry’s (aka wwwCoder) Blog. Now Playing: Speakers of Geek - CGS - Infinite Crisis 4
A few friends asked me about how to get involved in running. The easiest thing to do is get out there and run. Just start. You can then learn proper technique later. You can hook up with a training group later. The most important thing is to run. Here are a few links to get the juices flowing. Footworks – Footworks is a running shop in South Miami. They also offer marathon and half-marathon training programs. This was the program that I participated in to prepare for the Miami Half. The Runner’s High – Another running shop located in...
Another Tuesday night, another ball game. I played tonight’s game much like the past two good D, poor O. I was 0-3 from the floor with one block, four assists and three rebounds. This week we played one of the best teams in the league. They’ve got four really good guards and run up and down the court better than most college teams. They’ve got one guy who has the complete game; inside, outside, post, whatever. He scored at will. In the second quarter, we were able to tie the game at eight. Then, we didn’t score the rest...
