Take a look. This pic is probably a fake. Created by someone and placed on the internet to show an "ironic" view of the Church. This is what the world thinks of Christians. Unreasonable. Unintelligent. Blinded. Unwilling to use their minds and view "reality". But is reason truly at odds with faith or can we have a "reasonable" faith? I sometimes wonder how some people like C.S. Lewis and Josh McDowell, both skeptics of Christianity, became Christians unless they were presented with a reasonable argument for Christianity. I believe that I do have a "reasonable" faith. Christianity should be easy to disprove. Prove that Christ didn't fulfill any one...
One of my favorite channels on XM Radio is The Torch. The Torch played a nice mix of Christian rap and rock. Of course I still listen to plenty of The Call but sometimes I want to mix it up on the XM dial. Unfortunately, The Phantom Tollbooth is now reporting that XM Radio has pulled The Torch. That’s right you will no longer be able to hear alternative Christian rock/rap on your XM receiver. It will be only available via the crappy online feed. But there is something you can do about it. Sign the Save The Torch...
Victoria's Secret “it” model, Adriana Lima (we affectionately call her Wild Eye Child) was recently interviewed by GQ magazine. In this interview she reveals that she’s not only a Christian, more specifically Catholic, but she’s a virgin who is waiting for marriage to have sex. Think about that for a second. Here’s a woman who had amassed a fortune modeling lingerie (“the ninety-seventh highest-paid famous person in the world according to Forbes”), essentially selling sex, saying she’s going to wait until marriage to have sex. Of course that’s a huge dichotomy. I’m not quite sure how I’d rationalize the two...
I'm amazed that I caught this story over at Yahoo! News.
KABUL, Afghanistan (Reuters) - Growing international pressure on Afghanistan to respect the religious freedom of a Christian convert was met in Afghanistan on Friday by calls for the man to be executed for denying Islam.
The controversy over Abdur Rahman, 40, whose trial is due to begin next week, threatens to drive a wedge between Afghanistan and Western countries that are ensuring its security and bankrolling its development.
But President Hamid Karzai cannot ignore conservative proponents of Islamic law or appear to bow too readily to outside pressure. But President Hamid Karzai cannot...
On Friday, April 22 at 5:15 PM Call FM signal was upgraded to cover all of Miami! After many a false start the upgrade was finally completed after five years of hard work. After the upgrade the Call FM staff, board and volunteers celebrated at Buca di Beppo and had a wonderful dinner. Congrats to all involved!
Call FM is once again having their Fund Drive to raise the budget for the next six months. I'll be on the air today from 5:00 PM to 8:00-ish. So if you're in to listening to train wrecks on live radio tune in!
Here's something cool, Bible Player for your iPod. It contains an audio and the text of the scriptures. Currently, they only offer the King James Version but the Modern American Standard Version and Spanish Reina Valera versions are coming soon. Bible Player comes in a free version (text) and a deluxe version (audio & text) for $29. They even have a Bible Player news and tips blog. I don't think that my maxed out iPod mini can handle it but if you have a full blown iPod it might be worth a look. Now Playing in iTunes: dc Talk - Jesus Freak

I've heard all the stories I've seen all the signs Witnessed all the glories Tasted all that's fine Nothing compares to the greatness of knowing you Lord. oh no, Nothing compares to the greatness of knowing you Lord, oh no... I see all the people Wasting all their time Building up their riches For a life that's fine But nothing compares to the greatness of knowing you Lord. oh no, Nothing compares to the greatness of knowing you Lord, oh no... And I find myself just living for today Cuz I don't know what tomorrow's gonna bring So no matter...
Yesterday kicked off Call FM's summer fund drive. For those of you who don't know. Call FM is a listener-supported radio station dedicated to delivering the message of Christ to the youth of South Florida. Last night I was supporting the fund drive on the air with DJ MSG. Although I wasn't at the top of my game, I had a blast. I'll be on again Wednesday night so listen to it at 91.7 in South Miami-Dade/Keys or online! And don't forget to pledge!
Tonight @ 10:00 PM Eastern, Mel Gibson will be discussing his new movie The Passion of the Christ. So fire up that Tivo.
