I’ve never watched The Big Bang Theory but this is funny, stereotypical, but funny. Technorati Tags: Star Trek

Recently, I lent a friend all seven seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's hard to imagine that its been five years since Buffy left the airwaves. We've been lucky enough that there have been some pretty good television to take its place (I'm thinking Lost, Heroes, and BSG). While discussing the series there were some moments that I completely didn't remember. Since there was no new shows on due to the writers strike I thought it would be a good idea to relive all seven seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Here are some thoughts: Season six and seven...
If you haven't heard yet Joss Whedon, the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly and Serenity, is coming back to TV this fall with Dollhouse. Dollhouse will star Buffy Alum Eliza Dushku as a "girl who can have any personality except her own." It has been described as part Alias and part Quantum Leap. I'm really excited to see Joss back on TV again. Even though shows like Heroes and Lost have filled the post Whedon void I'm excited to see what Joss can do with this concept. Fox just better not mess it up again like they...

I just caught two minutes and twenty-seven seconds of pure comic genius. If you have no idea what I’m talking about watch this video, I’ll wait. Do, det do, dum, dum, do tee do. What? Back already? So what did you think? Watching Palpatine berating Vader is funny as hell. I still haven’t stop laughing. From what I understand the short comes from a show called Robot Chicken. That's the show Lisa keeps ranting about. I'm going to have to check it out...when I stop laughing. Via The Movie Blog.
Mad Crazy Update: Voltron gets served on Robot Chicken. That's it. TiVo is going to pick up this...
It looks like internet video is finally taking off. Sites like YouTube and Libsyn are now allowing users to upload video and share it for free or a small cost. This is allowing the individual to create and publish video content without bandwidth and storage costs. Of course bitTorrent has been around a while now but it can be cumbersome for the average user to use and of course it can be changeling to find content. Some of my favorite video sites are AskANinja, DiggNation and Rocketboom.
This video revolution has made some traditional shows relevant again. SNL has seen a popularity rise since...

There is an excellent interview with Buffy/Angel/Firefly mastermind Joss Whedon at In Focus magazine. The interview sheds light on Joss’ work in Toy Story, Alien 4, Speed, the new Wonder Woman film and of course the follow up to his Firefly series, Serenity (opens on September 30th). It’s a fascinating look into one of the most creative minds in Hollywood.
“This summer’s sold-out hit-and-run public screenings of an almost-finished “Serenity” – I count 65 such screenings so far – appear to be wholly unique in the annals of motion picture exhibition. Is it safe to say you’re encouraged that so many thousands...
The best show on television starts its second season tonight at 10pm on Sci-Fi. And if that wasn’t cool enough, Ron Moore has posted his audio commentary about tonight’s episode via his podcast. How cool is that? It seems that Ron understands that fans are the best promotion tool a show can have. You don’t believe me? Just ask Joss Whedon. His excellent Firefly series was canceled and now is being made into a major motion picture, Serenity. Why? Because the fans wouldn’t let Joss’ series die.
Here’s some interesting news. Best Buy will have the Battlestar Galactica first season DVD a full two months before the other retailers. So here’s my question. Will the “exclusive retailer” start becoming a trend? Could the publishers start taking bids for the exclusive rights for some games, movies, music? How will this affect consumers without the exclusive retailer in their area? It seems to me like this is going into a bad direction. So what if Fry’s obtains the right to be the exclusive retailer for the next Zelda. Will those of use without a Fry’s around be forced to...
I ran across this the other day. It’s a quiz to find out which of the Desperate Housewives you are most like. Of course they change it up for the guys and say which housewife they are most likely to date/marry. This is ridiculous of course because if I dated/married someone like me I’d have some suicidal tendencies coming to the forefront. Nevertheless I took the test undaunted and discovered the horrors of horrors.
Eeek! Not Lynette! Too many kids, too bossy and too blond. Sure she’s got a great personality but she’s not exactly going to light up the night,...
Here’s a pretty good article on the differences between TiVo, Microsoft Media Center and a cable DVR. It sounds like this guy likes the MS media center a log. Wouldn’t it be great if someone came out with a DirecTV PC card? Via Engadget.
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart has done a piece on bloggers and it is darned funny! Check it out. Via Halley’s Comment.

Quick poll. Who has been watching Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi? I see one, two hands. Shame on you people! Battlestar Galactica has delivered the best five consecutive episodes of any series that I’ve ever seen. (Notice that I say consecutive.) Is it better than Lost, Alias, or Desperate Housewives? Dunno. But it’s definitely in the conversation. And just in case you missed it Battlestar has been renewed for a second season. Oh and don’t forget to read Ron Moore’s blog. He’s the mastermind behind Battlestar Galactica. Too bad there’s no RSS feed. Dang.
Update: I forgot to mention that Battlestar...
